Welcome to the digital landfill. I'm Brenna, more commonly known as Br3nnabee online! I get up to all kinds of shenanigans in my spare time and love to try new stuff even if it goes terribly xP! To me, code isn't just "trying to do something" but also an artform and an outlet of self expression <3 Some of the things I'm known to get up to aside from programming include gaming, writing, politics, film photography, all kinds of digital art, and a broad range of science, and I have a mild case of chronically online :3
I've been programming since ~2020 but I haven't contributed to open-source nearly as much as I'd like to, partly because I still feel like a total newbie. That said, some of the projects I have worked on include the Bevy game engine, the CERN document server (massive shoutout to the team who let me do a short shadowship!), and my own magium-recrystallized (a stalled wip sighh)! Some of my older repos have heavy AI use which I'm actively working to replace, but you have been warned.
My goto language is Rust, but I have also tried a lot of other languages on the backend so maintaining some of my projects is not the easiest :X. On the frontend, I'm preferential to a Svelte/Tailwind/Typescript stack (yes, all the buzzwords!) but ocassionally like making things that express my love for the old web (like this!) with pure html/css and the ugliest fonts you've ever seen. I love learning about and working on server infrastructure, which started with TrueNAS and has me now running 5 cloud servers and a fairly beefy homelab. Much of my stuff is currently running on Kubernetes deployed by Ansible, but I'm learning Nix to eventually replace all of my imperative stuff. Below you can see the full list of software & hardware I use (said loosely) in some capacity!
